Percussion instruments required:

2 high triangles (one for the pianist);

1 foot gong;

2 log drums (4 pitches – low, 2 medium and high);

Glockenspiel;

Tubular bells –  8va and half from middle C;

Vibraphone (no motor)

As part of a larger project initiated by Richard Benjafield and Stephen Gutman, this piece takes inspiration from the eponymous composition by the Jacobean composer Edward Gibbons. It focuses on the three hours from midnight.
